Fireburn Heritage believes every child deserves the opportunity to see their culture, history, and heritage reflected in the stories they read. Through our ongoing literacy initiative, we partner with schools, museums, churches, libraries, and community organizations to place culturally relevant books directly into the hands of children and families.

Our outreach has included donations and literacy events with partners such as the Virgin Islands Children’s Museum, Caribbean Museum Center for the Arts (CMCArts), First Hollywood Wesleyan Church, and the Lauderhill Branch Library, along with book placements in Little Free Libraries and community spaces. We also regularly provide complimentary books to children and families during educational programs, cultural celebrations, and community events.

Through titles such as Island Alphabet: Discovering the Virgin Islands Letter by Letter, James and the Fireburn, and Roots and Resilience, we seek to cultivate a love of reading while strengthening cultural identity and preserving the rich history of the U.S. Virgin Islands and the wider Caribbean.

Whether shared in a classroom, a museum, a church, a library, or a neighborhood book box, every book represents another opportunity to inspire curiosity, celebrate heritage, and invest in the next generation.
